Dress Code

Dress Code for Your Venue

Dress Code for your venue! Do you have one? Having trouble with your current dress code policy? Are you considering one?  Robert and Manny discuss important considerations, best practices, and some commonsense policy when it comes to a dress code for your bar or nightclub.

Shout-outs!

Sycamore Den – San Diego – NSC would like to say thank you to Eric Johnson, General Manager at Sycamore Den, and his team for using our Online California PSO Training.  If you ever get a chance to visit San Diego, this is a very hip, warm and inviting spot – make sure you check it out.

Robert received some very kind words from the ownership of The Beacham and The Social in Orlando about our recent training event with them. George, we thank you for that! We are looking forward to our next opportunity to work with you.

Today’s Topic

Dress Code for Your Venue

We discuss some important considerations when it comes to a dress code for your bar or nightclub. Be smart about it and avoid policies that will create more issues than they will solve. Be consistent with your policy and avoid making “exceptions”. Have a written policy at the entrance for the guest to see – otherwise they may think you are just making it up as you go. Also, make sure your staff is training when it comes to discrimination and civil rights issues surround guests attire – for example religious attire.

In The News!

Rizzo Fundraiser

Follow up: Portland Bouncer Brian Rizzo shot when suspect returned with gun after being ‘snubbed’ at the door. – Robert and Manny follow up on the recent story where the Rizzo’s co-worker followed the suspect into the parking lot and shot him with a concealed pistol he had been carrying. Since the news story broke, it has been found that the second bouncer, Jonathan Baer, was justified in shooting the suspect.  Manny and Robert comment.

Donations to help with medical bills can be made for Rizzo and his family here @ youcare.com.

This is a great risk management tape….a bit of too much chat at the beginning, but if you get involved with the insurance carrier…..You have something here!
